Custom Orthotics

Many Systems, Many Methods, Great Results

If you ask four different healthcare professionals, who dispense or fabricate foot orthotics, which type of foot orthotic is best for your circumstances, you will usually get four different answers – or they will defend their type to exhaustion!

PTI Orthotics is unique because we respect the opinions of these professionals, but we do not believe that one method or type of orthotic works for everyone. For example, Honda makes a great car and many people would argue that Honda makes the most reliable car on the road. Does this mean that everyone should buy a Honda? Should a person that tows a boat or plows snow for a living consider buying a Honda Civic? Clearly, there are better choices. The same goes for orthotics.

At PTI Orthotics, we offer to our patients and clients over 30 different types of orthotics, which has made us specialists in a multitude of orthotic varieties. We’re not just proposing 30 different material combinations (which is endless), but actually over 30 different types of custom foot orthotics. Orthopedists, podiatrists, chiropractors, physical therapists, orthotists, pedorthists and athletic trainers all have different theories on foot orthotic design and function. These professionals believe their individual methods are the best. Because PTI fabricates foot orthotics for patients from all of these healthcare professionals, we are in a unique position to be your one-source, orthotic solution.

We never cut quality to increase productivity. We don’t use direct mold systems (molding material applied directly to the foot) techniques, library systems, mirror imaging technology, or pre-fabricated arch shells – and we don’t outsource the manufacturing process.

Instead, all of our custom-molded feet orthotics are made 100% in-house, along with most of the components used in the fabrication process. We even make the fixtures used to make those components. Our products are custom-fabricated for your individual foot, not assembled. Much of this knowledge and dedication to quality can be attributed to our founder, Aaron Anderson, C. Ped, who has 35 years of clinical practice and experience in fabricating traditional handcrafted orthotics as well.

The orthotics are great and Aaron Anderson is easy to work with. I have less foot pain using the orthotics. I am now on a back-up pair because I use them in my workout shoes and pickleball shoes. Turn around time for the orthotics is reasonable as well.

A long overdue but nevertheless heartfelt thanks to Aaron from our whole family! Over two decades, you gave all four of us pain-free running, hiking, distance walking, tennis, weight-lifting and thus, enjoyment of life through your perfectly-tailored orthotics! AND also, you patiently adjusted them as needed over the years. Furthermore, you always explained how various tendons and muscles influenced the shape of the orthotic, thus motivating us to do our stretches! We're looking forward to at least some years more of your invaluable service and advice, even from afar! A Front Range institution! From Alcinda Cundiff and family.

Aaron is the best. He truly knows what he’s doing and he couldn’t be a nicer guy. If I could rate PTI higher than 5 stars I would. I have had countless foot problems throughout the years as a basketball player and I know every time something comes up, Aaron will help me out and put a smile on my face. You won’t find a better foot doctor!

Aaron is a highly skilled engineer and developer of Orthotics. I have suffered with pronation and pain in my hip, leg and foot for over a year. He created and made adjustments to my custom orthotic over the year. Together, we are working to get it right. He takes the time to teach and offer generous support. I am so pleased with his care and attention. He is a 5 Star practitioner!

Hand‑crafted custom foot orthotics are shaped precisely to your unique anatomy, giving you more accurate support and better alignment than mass‑produced inserts. CNC machining creates custom foot orthotics with exceptional precision because it follows exact digital measurements rather than relying on manual shaping. This automated process reduces human error and produces more consistent, highly accurate results for every pair.

Non weight bearing neutral position casting has been the gold standard since the 1970's and is now being phased out by non weight bearring 3D scanning. Superior intra / inter tester repeatability. Captures intersegmental malalignments within the foot.

X

Superior shock absorption while disapating ground reaction forces. Enhanced durabily and will not compress like foam cushioning materials. Superior soft tissue supplement.

X

By incorporating different densities of materials within the structure of the orthotic, these devices can offer specific areas of the foot targeted cushioning and support. Bony protrusions can be accommodated while supporting the other critical areas of the foot. This is not possible without a positive model. Direct molding techniques do not create a positive model of the foot.

X

Long lasting ultra strong designs that hold the angles molded and machined into the orthotics not possible when using direct molding techniques because no foot models are created with those older systems. These materials mold at 350F and higher and cannot be used in direct mold systems.

X

Ultra‑strong, thin carbon‑fiber composites provide superior performance in certain orthotic applications because they deliver exceptional support without adding bulk. This allows for precise biomechanical control while keeping the device lightweight and low volume.

X

Sport‑specific orthotics are beneficial because they’re designed to match the unique movements, forces, and demands of a particular activity, giving athletes more precise support. This targeted design can improve performance, reduce fatigue, and lower the risk of injury by keeping the feet and body aligned during sport‑specific motions.

X

Pathology‑specific custom foot orthotics are beneficial because they’re designed to address the exact mechanical issues caused by a particular condition rather than using a one‑type-fixes‑all approach. This targeted design can reduce symptoms more effectively and support better long‑term function by matching the orthotic to the patient’s specific needs.
