Orthotics for Arthritis

How does an orthotic help with arthritis of the knee?

To be frank, with knee arthritis, an orthotic can help, but it is only a temporary measure. The condition itself typically requires surgery, as well as treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs, and often the use of walking aids.

Of course, some people prefer not to undergo a surgical procedure. What needs to be achieved here is to redirect the forces within the knee. The orthotic process aims to open up the joint space that exists within the knee and the aim is to allow the weight to be borne by the healthy area of the knee joint.
