Do heel lifts help if I have Achilles Tendonitis?

Heel lifts can help when treating this condition as they can reduce the tension felt in, and stretch to, your Achilles tendon. This is often matched with a program of exercises to slowly stretch and gradually strengthen the calf muscle group.

Should this not be successful in treating the condition, the next stage often sees the creation of a biomechanical orthotic, which is custom molded. This then works to balance the biomechanics of the foot. In some cases, where the condition is severe, a cast to immobilize the area may be required.

When custom orthotics are required, the go-to place in Boulder is the PTI Orthotics Laboratory. To find out more about how they can help this, and other, conditions, you can call 303-443-9999
